I grew up as a missionary kid in Taiwan and was infected with the world traveling bug. Moving to Oregon as a teen, I continued to travel for school to Australia, mission trips, and taught in Bangkok. Moving to Oregon as a teen, I think we lived in at least 10 houses in our town in Oregon. My parents would buy trashed houses with potential which we would renovate, sell and repeat. I believe this ignited my passion for imagining what a house could be like with a little creativity and sweat.

After completing a Bachelors in Elementary Education and Master’s in Administration, I married a handsome pilot and taught in both Christian and public schools. We served in Papua New Guinea for 5 years with mission aviation and were blessed with 3 amazing children that are now 11, 13 and 15 years old. Our house was on stilts so we could enjoy the earthquakes in swaying style.

In 2018, God led us to the community of Keene, Texas where our kids currently attend Christian schools and my husband flies out of Dallas for Southwest Airlines. We bought a house on one acre near Keene and renovated it from top to bottom. But one acre wasn’t enough space for our three active kids, animals, go-carts, and motorcycles. In March, 2023, we purchased an old farmhouse on 12 acres in Cleburne where we are now building fences, acquiring more animals, and renovating the house. We are currently utilizing our first Keene house as a rental property.
